Ingredients
- toor daal
- onion 1
- tomato 2
- turmeric
- whole red chili (as per taste)
- tamarind 1inch
- methi leaves 1 bunch
- spinach leaves 1bunch
- green chili (as per taste)
Tadka/Seasoning:
- garlic pods 4-5, cut to small pieces
- mustard seeds 1 teaspoon
- jeera seeds 1 teaspoon
- curry leaves 9-10
- red chili 1-2
- small onion 1
- Oil- 2-3 tablespoon
Process:
1) Mix all the ingredients with water. Usually I fill almost little more than half the pressure cooker with water. Permit 4-5 whistles. Let it cook on low heat after the 4/5th whistle for another 5-10 minutes.
2) In another big pot sized pan, add oil, add all seasoning except for onion. Allow the seeds to splutter, after which add onion. Cook in low hear for 5 min. Pour the boiled daal.
