Chocochip Cookies

I learnt to make this cookie from Mommakesdinner blog. It's perfect! 


However, for those who prefer their cookies a little less sweet, please find the instructions below.

One tip - If you are making your first batch, please experiment with half of the measurements.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks of unsalted butter, softened 113 gm= 1 stick
  • 1 cup of sugar ( I always end up adding a little less)
  • 1 cup of brown sugar ( I always end up adding a little less)
  • 2 eggs ( 1 egg works for me)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chunks+ 1cup semi-sweet milk chocolate chips ( I generally use 2 cups of 40% chocolate chunks)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Cream the butter and the two sugars together for about 10-15 min
  • Add in the vanilla and the eggs, one at a time.
  • Mix together all the dry ingredients - both flours, baking soda and baking powder.
  • Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well.
  • Add in choco chips.
  • Make small flat dough circles on parchment paper placed on a baking tray.


  • Preheat oven for 10 min.
  • Bake for 10 min ( It will be soft at this time)
  • Remove en and place on a wire rack to cool and solidify.
